2907 Calle Calleta Viejas is a pre-approved short sale just listed for sale in Alpine. It will be available to be shown beginning today. Looks like a great house and I can’t wait to take a look! If you’d like information on this property or to schedule a showing, please give me a call [...]

2126 Twisted Oak, Alpine, 91901 – a realtor’s preview

I had fun previewing this quick foreclosure in Alpine Hills area off South Grade. Property was lovely with a number of Engelman oaks, a pool, guest house and studio or gym (converted garage). One of the best features of the house was that the master suite opened to the pool’s spa area right off the [...]

My visit to see this little REO property produced quite a surprise. The listing agent was evidently there on a cloudy day and wasn’t able to photograph the amazing views this little property has—all the way to the ocean and Pt. Loma on clear days! The house itself is a fairly typical REO in decent [...]

I previewed this is a great listing in Blossom Valley last week. It’s a foreclosure and is entered in the MLS as being located in Lakeside, 92040, so it might be hard to find on typical searches—but, it’s great house! One of my favorite features of the property is the powder room which is [...]

I had fun previewing this quick foreclosure in Alpine Hills area off South Grade. Property was lovely with a number of Engelman oaks, a pool, guest house and studio or gym (converted garage). One of the best features of the house was that the master suite opened to the pool's spa area right off the French doors (convenient) and the kids rooms are on the otherside of the entry area, but not too far because it's a single level home. Although the landscaping was not trimmed in such a way, the pool area and back patio would have a great view towards Viejas Mountain if someone wanted it. The house was in pretty decent shape for a foreclosure. The paint, tile and windows were dated, but otherwise pretty good. There was a weird raised deck just inside the walk-thru arch entry way from … [Read More...]

My visit to see this little REO property produced quite a surprise. The listing agent was evidently there on a cloudy day and wasn't able to photograph the amazing views this little property has---all the way to the ocean and Pt. Loma on clear days! The house itself is a fairly typical REO in decent condition, small original house was well-built, the kitchen remodel is outdated now and of the "economy" quality level, but the addition of a newer master and breakfast/dining area off the kitchen are decent (although I generally don't like raised foundations with big echo factor). The property itself is very privately located at the end of a quiet little road. It has a nice mix of usable land and areas strewn with boulders that make it a child's playground and a landscapers challenge. … [Read More...]

I previewed this is a great listing in Blossom Valley last week. It's a foreclosure and is entered in the MLS as being located in Lakeside, 92040, so it might be hard to find on typical searches---but, it's great house! One of my favorite features of the property is the powder room which is situated conveniently to the public rooms but set back a bit so there is no worry of anyone overhearing any tinkling (one of my pet-peeves about home design). On other points, its in relatively good condition for a foreclosure (some window screen issues, custom painting most buyers will want to adjust a bit, some minor drywall holes/scratches), has a great layout (2 kids rooms upstairs each with own bathroom and a common loft/family room area), master and nursery/office/gym suite on … [Read More...]

Border Patrol Community Forum in Alpine 1/16/2013
January 10, 2013 By Darcy Logan Leave a Comment
From The East County Magazine. Living in the East County has its rewards and challenges. The Border Patrol can be frustrating, with their crazy driving on the freeway as they burn up fuel driving at max speeds up on down the freeway back and forth from Brown Field and El Cajon to points east. Best way to try to minimize their recklessness is to participate and share concerns. There is a meeting tonight in Alpine at the Alpine Elementary School's auditorium at 6pm. January 10, 2013 (Alpine) – The public is invited to the U.S. Border Patrol’s East County Community Forum on January 16 at 6 p.m. The forum will be held in the Alpine Elementary School auditorium, 1850 Alpine Boulevard in Alpine. The forum will include discussion of community concerns, East … [Read More...]

California Foreclosure Inventory Down Nearly 32% From Last Year
December 18, 2012 By Darcy Logan Leave a Comment
The Foreclosure Report - November 2012 California Foreclosure Inventory Continues to Decline November 2012 California foreclosure inventory—the total of Preforeclosures, properties in foreclosure that are Scheduled for Sale, and Bank Owned properties (REO)—fell 7.6 percent from the prior month and is down 31.8 percent compared to last year. While the November decline in inventory is not an unusual event, the significant decline in foreclosure inventory over the past year has contributed to what some are calling an “inventory crisis” of total homes for sale. Source: Here is the link to report at Foreclosure Radar The November foreclosure inventory shortage is partially due to the jump in California Foreclosure Cancellations. Cancellations were up 4.7 percent from the … [Read More...]

Client Reviews
Our financing was challenging, but Darcy found our dream property and even negotiated great seller financing! Now we are living in our new home on an incredible piece of property. We couldn't have done it without her original thinking and top rate negotiating skills.
